Whites Restaurant on Beverley’s North Bar Without is an independent small fine dining restaurant run by local chef John Robinson. In its ninth year, it’s Beverley’s only restaurant to feature in the Good Food Guide, Michelin Guide and Harden’s Guide, the latter giving it a score of 5/5 for its food. The restaurant only serves tasting menus and specialises in modern British dishes, showing imagination and flair, and utilising the best of local produce as well as growing a lot of their own ingredients on their allotments. Its minimalist dining room offers a professional yet relaxed service style and it’s clearly a business run on passion. The whole team pull together to create a great memorable experience that will love long in the memory all at very reasonable prices.
John is the only chef that’s supported Cottingham Food Festival since its first year and always enjoys cooking his dishes for the crowd. Utilising the products for sale on the stalls he shows what can be done to maximise their flavour and release each ingredient’s potential to create a lovely dish.
